For the past several issues I have been encouraging you in your resolutions from the New Year. I hope you’re gaining ground on making these a routine part of your life. In order to do this you will need to have a clear vision of what it is you want to integrate into your life and then a path to follow to reach your goals.
Do you like coffee? We drink plenty of it around this house. I wouldn’t consider myself anywhere near a Barista, but I met a man who would qualify! His name is Jeremy and he has a coffee roasting business near where we live at The Lake of the Ozarks. He and his wife made some life changes some time back and among those changes was this dream of getting a coffee business going locally. In their determination, and amidst a move, they got this business up and running. Jeremy offers a wide variety of coffees from around the world. and let me tell you, the Ethiopia Limmu (I think I’m saying that right!) is really dark and really good! (There is a lot to their story that I want you to know so I’ll put his link below.)
How did they do it? Perseverance. Commitment. Satisfaction. And so much more. Here’s the thing: what has happened for Jeremy and his wife happened due to the same things that I have been encouraging you to practice for months. Determine the goal. Set your objectives to get you to the goal. Have determination and commitment, otherwise this is no more than the old fashioned New Year’s Resolution that fades into nothing within weeks. And have someone in your life who will hold you accountable. This may be a family member, friend, or Life Coach, as long as it is someone who will hold your feet to the fire, so to speak.
Many of you I haven’t met in person, so I don’t know your characteristics. Considering my recent posts to you, and assuming you are putting this into action, I want you to know that when I met Jeremy, I quickly thought of all of you. It was like a billboard in front of me that said, “This is what you’ve been writing! He’s doing it!” And what is the payoff after all the effort, besides financially? Joy. Loving what you do. Happiness with family because there’s usually less stress. Peace. Fewer worries that weigh on you. And financially? Well, the greater your success the more pleasures you might have and the more you will be able to support church and charities.
Thanks to Jeremy for allowing me to plug his business and give you a small part of his story. Again, his link is below. Check out his information there and enjoy!
